In case no one has heard this cover, it’s pretty damn sick. Anytime I hear it while driving, it always seems to end right as I’m parking.

Don’t like it, personally. The original by Simon & Garfunkel works so well because it‘s so bright, relaxed and upbeat, even, wonderfully contrasting the lyrics, while, in my opinion, Disturbed‘s version is overly dark and dramatic. Way too much pathos and movie-trailer energy.

I like a lot of Disturbed’s catalog, but one thing they do very, very well is covers.

Land of Confusion is another cover of theirs that I like way more than the original.

    It’s a terrible cover

Absolutely fucking awful, and the whole band have done nothing original at all

Their cover of “Land of Confusion” was similarly shit, but less melodramatic

You’re entitled to your opinion, but I like it. Haven’t heard land of confusion, but I grew up with disturbed lol. And sometimes you just have to hear music in the right setting. I hated imagine dragons when they came out, but they’ve grown on me.

I agree, this cover is fantastic. Easily one of the best covers I’ve heard.

Speaking of Imagine Dragons, Koda did a cover of their song Radioactive that is also one of my favorites.

Agreed, it is a shit cover by a shit band. Some sycophant producers could barely contain their glee at slapping it on the trailer for an edgy film, it’s just feckless shit.
