In VB correctional center (jail), conditions also suck. “Suicidal” folks were put in a cell alone for at least 3 days. They stripped you and gave you this horse blanket thing as “clothing.” You had that and your mat for 3 days in isolation.

Maybe unfortunately, but the sexual orientation of folks (homosexuality) is definitely used as a tool by politicians to push certain agendas. Politicians will pander to these groups like they do to many other groups.
