  • The fact that it’s close shows that there is a problem with our voting populace.

Rarely do more than 40% of eligible voters turn out for an election. On top of that, the Electoral College - our representative voting body - can cause the popular vote to be overturned in favor of the representative vote - Al Gore in 2000, Trump in 2016 are examples. Relative to this, in order to win, Democrats have to be polling at 6 to 9% above the Republicans to be a real contender.

The day a Republican loses via Electoral College but wins the popular vote is the day this will change. Frankly, though, it’s almost impossible for that to happen due to the way the EC distributes votes to the less populated states.

Fuck our rigged system and fuck this orange baboon.

  • Let’s have a talk about social media platform censorship. Tiktok and YouTube members who self censor common words like death or rape in legitimate conversations about the topics are learning to temper their language or face consequences. Unimportant consequences.

It may seem small by comparison, but if you condition it at a low level, each step beyond is easy to swallow. Spread it out over an entire population, and you see huge results.

Would you mind linking to the post where you were trying to fix this? I was having trouble with overhang areas and sagged stringing. Curious if that’s what you were having problems with.

I do see some clubbing at your base corners, meaning you should adjust your flow for your first layers, as well as your expansion settings. I’ll see if I can find mine and share.

In Seattle we did this years ago. In practice, people just treat the new “reusable” bags as disposable. This law is a stop gap and ultimately kicks the can down thr road to placate business interests and the bullshit plastic lobby.

Bring on the downvotes, folks, but the reality is that now people will be throwing away thicker plastic.
