Really depends on what you do and value. I use lots of kde software, so kde distros are my go to. then one big diffrence between distros is how they get updated. do you want the latest updates asap on the costs of stability, or do you want an effing never crashing distro but lag behind in updates a few months/years, or a middleground.

These are the two points i considered when i choose.

i failed out of uni so take my advice with a huge grain of salt. but its ok to fail or rescedule. as long as you persist ofc. I failed some class and the shame made me fail more. reality is pretty much everyone has parts of their studys that are boring or incredible hard. and pretty mich everyone fails some stuff. Just make a plan, figure out what made you fail last time (if it happends) and try to prevent that next time.

tl;dr: dont be like me. be open and honest to your friends, professors and family. and you will make it :)

I mean i totally agree with your observation, but op asked for tips. they are probably a younger person asking more experienced people how to start into life.

i think the reson behind that has little to do with the music. idk how it is now but a few years ago the band had baddd infighting and made it all public. i am talking up to the level of dissolving the band on stage, just to continue for the revenue the next day. I assume many of the ffdp haters were fans of the music back then, but got dissapointed by the musicans to the point they couldnt enjoy it anymore.

all those kinds of imparements are puns. like haveing a lisp. or to stutter. all speech and reading imparements are words that are hard to pronounce or read by the people affected. no idea why. just saying its the rule and no exception.

are you sure that is grounded in reality rather than emotions? I dont call you a liar since i have zero knowledge how it works in usa. i just had the same feeling that speed cameras are a cash grab. but then i saw the process how a speed camera is decided upon. and in my cuntry they literally only stand ar places with a higher crash density. these areas also have slower speed limits which can feel annoying. but it is stastlcally proven that injuris and crashed were significantly reduced. see this process and understanding it chenged my views on that entirely.

there are offices that offer these services offline. if you wanna do it on your own youll need to request a lot of acces to city archives. At least in some countrys, citys keep many infos. including if someone moves there ect.

So if you know where your grandparents used to be born, go there, and maybe you find infos about your grand grandparents. and then its just a game to hunt for infos. See if you can find your anchestors names in unis, or companys or something.

its actually a real rabit hole to see which cultures use however many days to refer into the future and past. Since the use of unified calenders its been declining. few centuries ago it wasnt unusual to have words for like “five days ago”. and some languages actually perserved that!

as a hige indi/small developer fan i see great times ahad. AAA will fail, clmpanys will close and developers will find new homes in smaller teams. by 2030 i predict a golden age for AA and and perhabs also a new golden age for indi.

ok this feels like a real hot take. but i am somewhat glad about this. in my country telegram has the reputation to be the nazi (and sometimes the pedo-) app. so i am not unhappy those people online activity can be used against them in court. i am unsure what you mean about not interfaceing with apple? I heard in america imessage is a big thing that prevents that, but the rest of the world doesnt really use it. and besides there are many messangers that let you interface.

also i mean the burden to move. the burdon to leave the alphabet system is just as hard as the apple system imo. its just annoying both dont make it easy for any cross useage.

no you got a point. i think your listed problems are the main problems you can have. with the hefty price and the “elite” vibe they sell in ads and so on, its really easy to hate. hateing apple feels like punching up.

and (most) android users dont realise that instead of beeing in apples eco system they are “trapped” in googles. I apprechiate apple for them not just blatently selling personal data, recorded from my phone. I also think in terms of polish there is no competiton. whoever used both, iphone and android phone, cant deny that ios is just far more polished. everything just works.

I personally dont like the apple proprietary ecosystem, but with no really good open source phone os, they are the best alternative on the marked atm. i dont know about laptops.

Naja, abgesehen davon, dass der Tipp sich nicht bestätigte (die fesgenommenen hatte keinen Haftbefehl gegen sich) und Schusswaffen eingesetzt wurden.

Ich stimme zu, dass der post faules whataboutism ist. Aber es stimmt schon, dass öffentlichwirksam rechtsextremisten weniger aufmerksamkeit und “gewalt” abbekommen als linksextremisten. Was etwas schade ist wenn doch immer versucht wird beide seiten als gleich dar zu stellen.
