No, there isn’t always a literal fascist running and to say that there is severely and dangerously downplays the threat that Donald Trump poses to both the US and the rest of the world. It’s also a disgusting way to devalue the victims of fascism. A fascist is not simply someone you disagree with; they are not just an asshole, or a bad leader, or someone who leads their country into a war for their own gain. Fascists will erode your way of life, they will take whatever they want, they will take away your rights and spit in your face while doing so (assuming they don’t simply have you arrested), they will kill you as soon as it either benefits them or if they just want to for the hell of it.

Use whatever perceived intellect and moral high ground you can trick yourself into believing you have to vote 3rd party, but just know that you are aiding in Trump’s re-election. And all because you’re too much of a dipshit to know the difference between an asshole and a fascist. Fuck you.

I’m in Arizona and was (still am, because absolutely fuck Kari Lake) planning on voting for Ruben. Hell, I was as excited to vote for Ruben as I am to vote for Kamala.

They call it a shift to appeal to moderates and independents, but that just makes me question how fucked our politics are if someone like Ruben Gallego isn’t already considered a moderate. Kamala is a moderate, Walz is a moderate, our entire Democratic party is moderate.

OP is talking about the rumored deal Reagan made with Iran wherein Iran would not release the American hostages until after the 1980 election. Coincidentally, the hostages were released on January 20th, 1981, the day Reagan was sworn in.

Sidenote, has anyone seen the Netflix documentary about the octopus murders? I think the proof that Reagan made that deal is at the heart of that conspiracy.

I understand where you are coming from, but there is no reason to defend a twice impeached, 34 time felon, treasonous rapist. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Xi, Kim, and Pol Pot don’t deserve a devil’s advocate argument, and neither does Donald Trump. There is no grey area. Trump and his lackeys are the greatest threat to American democracy and world stability, and playing devil’s advocate validates them just enough to turn someone apathetic at best and into a Trump voter at worst.
