Personally on the steamdeck gyro, once I got used to it, has become indispensable for a lot of games to solve this sort of problem

What are your thoughts on the Steam deck’s Touchpads? I’d love to see them in a thumb ball type formfactor
Hopefully I’ll have dementia by then so I won’t remember how amazing computers used to be.
I swear this is the only explanation for people claiming Windows gets a good version every other version.
You always install Nvidia drivers through your distro app store/package manager never the website.
I have seen so many youtubers tell people to download Nvidia drivers through the browser it’s not even funny, just sad
People need to make sure they are doing the right thing before declaring themselves experts and telling other people what to do
The typical user used Windows since before they became scared of change, so that’s what they’ll stick with.
In some ways this was me, then win 11 came around and I really didn’t like it, and it was pretty unstable for me, so I was stuck between two options for change, neither being what I would call “comfortable” (I had to, win 10 was blue screening literally every other day) which was when I saw the steam deck announcement, (also the LTT Linux Challenge) and I haven’t given win 11 a serious try sense
Depending on the distro there really isn’t to much to learn, at least not for basic use
Personally after I switched it meant less time futzing with my computer, it just does what I want when I want
And when I want to install software 99% of the time it just involves searching discover (the KDE software manager) and clicking a button to install
I do not miss the complexity of doing things in Windows
Also let’s not forget how many of us would not survive another trump presidency, not slowing them down is potentially fatal for a large percentage of the population
If that’s the case it at least has a feature over the dual sense edge, but as expensive as it is I still prefer the edge with all it’s inputs and touchpad
You think it’ll be optional?
I agree, that would be useful
Requesting? Last I heard they had patched all methods of not creating an account barring using the command line, for windows users that’s pretty forceful
Happened to me on Fedora last night
I won’t say no to cheaper games.
Ahh yes prices will magically lower to match what publishers were already making, because companies famously are never greedy
I mean… No? I have a lot of games and I find a lot that are worth playing in that list, but I’ve not even played half… And even if I had I don’t exactly have a spreadsheet of what I liked and what I didn’t
Weird question imho
A surprising number of them I come to years later and find I really like

It was reading this comment that made me realize that I hardly ever use the play store over f-droid anymore, because off the top of my head I couldn’t tell you what the UI looks like
I love my frame.work 16 and its hardware switch for camera and mic
At least with the ones on the steam deck this is solved (for me) largely by software emulating the momentum of the trackball
