That is true, but my smart TV and smart scale both got something like 5 years of updates. Who buys a new scale every 5 years? My parents still have a scale from the 90s that works fine.

I’m fairly sure Microsoft is actively trying to screw Firefox. Outlook has always sucked in Firefox, teams is a shit show. When you use a useragent switcher somehow a lot of features seem to work magically in Firefox (which tells me MS is doing this on purpose).
For Outlook (exchange) I use Thunderbird with a paid plug-in (to make the 2FA stuff work). It’s pretty cheap and totally worth it for me at least.
Keep running it for a while and after some time 5 or 10 years you will struggle when people ask you about (basic) Windows stuff.
A while ago I came to the conclusion that a Casio G-Shock is the best watch. They don’t have to be expensive, a good one will sync the time multiple times a day, so it’s always accurate. A good one also has small solar panels in the watch face, so the battery will never be empty, and all of them are really build to last.
From a pure functional perspective I think it’s the best watch ever made. It basically tells you the correct time, always.
I absolutely agree they shouldn’t be able to hold stocks. But just giving a percentage they made this year doesn’t really tell you anything.
It’s like saying there is no global warming after a colder than usual winter.
Exactly, getting a 20% return on average for years and years is what makes Warren Buffet one of the best Investors. Getting a good year can happen to anyone.
I accidentally killed a mouse, sorry little guy I understand my shoe smelled like cheese…
Yes you get it 😃 (it’s not my fault they are probably going to make someone like Trump president again).
I guess that’s the difference, if a landlord wants to kick you out here, they have to try to physically force you and you just call the police.
If a landlord would go into your house and remove your stuff you would immediately call the police. A landlord just can’t do that here and would be treated like a burglar would (by the police).
Because people keep voting for politicians that don’t want to change the current system?
In the end people still vote for these people, some states have much more protection for renters than other states. I live in a country that has a lot of laws to protect renters.
There’s a reason why the USA still doesn’t have affordable healthcare but almost all other first world countries do have it.
Can we stop shitting on landlords and start shitting on politicians that write the laws? Yeah landlords suck, but if it’s all legal they are not really to blame. If parking in a handicapped spot was legal for everyone the spots would be used all the time.
Your landlord is an asshole, but the bigger problem is your laws. In the Netherlands for example if your landlord doesn’t give you a very specific short term contract (where it’s very clear it’s short term renting) the landlord can’t kick you out as long as you pay the rent (and even if you stop paying it takes months before a judge kicks you out).
My friend rented this place that the owner just couldn’t sell during the financial crisis. A decade later housing prices where high again. The landlord really wanted him gone but had zero legal ground to do so. So when my friend told him he was thinking of moving the landlord offered all sort of help to make him go (like paying for a moving company etc).
Laws is where the change will come from.
Maybe at the same place they would go if he didn’t rent out his appartement but still kept it for when he goes back?
If you ban tabacco all out its going to create a huge black market. Addicted smokers that don’t want to stop aren’t just going to stop.
But, raising the legal smoking age with one year every year might work. Tabacco use is already pretty low for GenZ as smoking isn’t “cool” like it was in the 70s.
This is why most modern lids use a soft close system.
That’s a valid point, but it’s not like the Jews never lived there, go far back enough and it’s a very different situation. That is what makes this entire conflict so difficult.
That is why I think it’s good to just look at current events.
The 2 things are not the same
Russia a country invaded Ukraine a country.
Israel a country was attacked by Hamas a terrorist group and in response invaded Palestine a country.
When I search in a 30KM radius, the cheapest house starts at 140K euros. You only get 19m² (204 sq ft) so it’s like just one room? But for 150K you can get a 55m² (592 sq ft) house that’s probably a bathroom, livingroom and bedroom.
Per square feet actually more expensive, but houses in the Netherlands aren’t that big anyway.
I like 'm like my asshole, bleeding edge
