Some people are just that uneducated about trans people. If they’re leading questions that invalidate us, sure. But otherwise what’s the harm? For 196 there’s no reason to ask about that stuff but the whole instance?? Your call in the end but I can think of a few ways this could go bad just from prior experience in other communities.
