So I assume you have counter arguments? Or do you just hope that laughing at arguments will win you the discussions?

Are you trying to say that cryptocurrency does not have a negative impact?
It was fun at one point. When collective efforts through the currency put the Jamaican bobsleigh team into the olympics. A time before we collectively realized how terrible crypto is both for economy and environment.
Now it’s just sad.
For me, the problem is different 🤔 I work in an environment with young people 👶 Young people who speak with emojis 💯 and they expect others to speak with emojis as well 🤝 So when I write a message or a mail 📩 Then I need to figure out which emoji I need to replace the periods with 😅 And the minefield is kinda terrible, since some of the “regular” emojis are considered highly passive agressive 🙂

Ah, that makes sense! Thanks!
I’m curious, what makes fridges bad in cold climates?
A 2018 VW Passat GTE. It isn’t bad, but it’s the only car I’ve ever owned.
Just to add to the wonkyness: not only is the active ingredient not a medicine, in many occasions it’s actually the virus or bacteria or whatever caused the disease. This gets dilluted to the point where it’s extremely unlikely that even a single atom of the original brew is present. And then they claim that the resulting liquid has a memory of losing the ingredient such that it has the ability to remove new particles of that ingredient (or something like that).
It’s fantastically cartoonish and preys upon people who lack a certain understanding of logic.
I occasionaly hear about people having their freezer out on the balcony. It makes sense for colder countries, as the temperature difference would be lower than if it were inside. But on the other hand, I’m pretty sure most freezers are not built to endure weather.
I very often sit down to pee, but not exclusively. Some times I feel like standing.
No follow-up questions, thanks.
Year 12, month 30, day of month 2023. What’s unclear?
It must have been a mix-up between “component name” and “how to install”.
It works for screws, but as a kid, I was never sure if the clock on the wall should be visualized attached to the ceiling or on the floor when saying “clockwise”. So I was always a bit hessitant on that.
Grab around a screw with your right hand and extend your thumb (like a thumbs up). Then rotating the screw in the direction which your fingers are pointing will result in the screw moving in the direction your thumb is pointing.
Thumbs up for lifting the screw upwards, thumbs down for screwing the screw downwards. And you can move your hand around to figure out screwing directions for any tricky spots.
I’m Norwegian. I never learned a rule in my language and always just went by instinct. Until ~3rd year of university in physics where someone told me tha the right-hand-rule applies to screws. Now I use that everywhere for screws in strange positions.
Since the distribution of male/female is roughly 1:1, that wouldn’t really do anything (except for positively being more accepting). The real solution would be to unlock one of the two last digits, but you can bet that a ton of systems will break as they validate those digits.
Norawy is facing a similar issue. Even though the national identification number is 11 digits, the first 6 are reserved for birth date. The 7th digit has some set of rules derived from which century the birth was (something like 5-9 is reserved for year 2000 and beyond). The 9th digit is even for women and odd for men. The 10th and 11th digit are fixed and derived from the rest of the numbers.
In conclusion, the system only leaves room for around 240 people per date of birth per gender (yes this system assumes 2 genders). So if the birth rate would have a spike, even just for a day, the system could be in trouble.
Not if you count Taylor Swift.
Energy consumption is energy consumption. While you might be connected to a grid where renewable sources are accessible, you are still straining a grid which could cover for an area which uses less clean energy sources.
But it’s not like every mining rig is connected to a source of renewable energy. It’s untraceable, which is part of the concept behind bitcoin. It should be obvious that a decentralized, untraceable, energy intensive cryptocurrency is not somehow controlled to be driven primarily by green sources.
