The book referenced here, “Bullshit Jobs” by David Graeber is a great (if maddening) read, I would highly recommend it. This article is referencing Graeber’s “system” of weeding out “bullshit jobs” built upon in that book.

These people should be in prison for murder and forcibly sterilized.
danglybits23@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•Recommendations for torrenting with linux?English16·2 months agoAs far as flavors of Linux, I would honestly recommend using VirtualBox while on Windows. You can download a preconfigured VM of just about any Linux distro or download whatever iso you want and install in a VM. This gives you some freedom to play around and break things (and you probably will at least once) and get more familiar with the different desktop environments, software installation, command line, searching for how to do things etc.

"Since 2019, Prince has been accused by four women “of either assault or sexual assault.” One of Prince’s former partners filed, and later dropped, a lawsuit against her accusing her of sexual assault. Molly Hensley-Clancy of The Washington Post wrote that “Prince asked two women who later accused her of domestic violence to sign nondisclosure agreements, according to police records and an ex-girlfriend. Prince also threatened legal action against women who have spoken about her on social media”.
“In August 2024, one of Prince’s former girlfriends, Olivia Stabile, posted a series of [TikTok] videos accusing Prince of physical and verbal abuse. Included in the posts were accusations of Prince shoving her to the ground and threatening to sue Stabile if she were to go public about the incident.”
“In January 2025, Prince and an ex-girlfriend were “involved in a physical altercation;” Prince sustained a black eye.”
