Carbonara… mit Sahne? Teufelszeug.

In eine Carbonara gehören Nudeln, Eier, Speck, Käse (bevorzugt Parmesan und Peccorino), Salz, Pfeffer, Wasser und sonst nichts. Wenn ich großzügig bin, noch ein bisschen Öl, um den Speck anzubraten, aber eigentlich kann der das auch allein.

Interestingly there are some videos that show what it’s like when it does work and it’s amazing (though still probably not worth thousands of dollars). That makes it even more frustrating when it doesn’t. It’s been a while since I watched Jenny‘s video but I think she made a point of that near the end.

The hotel was so expensive in both development and upkeep that they had to have a high price and high capacity at the same time to still make a profit. In the end it was basically luck if the actors had time to interact with you and if they didn’t, you had to rely on the rather barebones automated stuff while still paying for the full experience.

I don’t know. At least during the high republic era with one master and one student, I’d imagine that getting drunk and accidentally showing everyone around you that you have force powers would be extremely dangerous, even more than for a jedi.

I would assume force users (both Jedi and Sith) would be forbidden by their masters from using anything mind-altering, except maybe in strictly controlled rituals. And for good reason. Can’t have people running around, randomly force-pushing strangers from a 120th floor balcony on Coruscant.

Sprachspaßwort sounds like something straight out of a law or industry standard which I guess that makes it heterological.

From what I saw, this all started with a post on ich_iel of a mug with a heavily misspelled version of „Ein Haus ist kein Zuhause ohne einen Hund“ which is German for „a house is not a home without a dog“. From there it went the way all ich_iel memes go: done to death for a few days, probably gone next week.

Das Problem ist… egal wie viel Verspätung dein Zug angeblich hat, wenn du dich auch nur für fünf Sekunden vom Bahnsteig wegbewegst, kommt er garantiert genau in dem Moment an und fährt ohne dich wieder ab.

Filezilla itself is not the problem. Deploying to production by hand is. Everything you do manually is a potential for mistakes. Forget to upload a critical file, accidentally overwrite a configuration… better automate that stuff.

Und ich sitze hier und ärgere mich, dass ich arbeiten muss, weil unsere Firmeninfrastruktur nicht betroffen ist.

Nicht, wenn sie dem Schutz eines Lebens dient. Dabei ist auch egal, ob es das eigene oder ein fremdes ist. Du darfst zum Beispiel auch ein Auto aufbrechen, wenn du damit verhinderst, dass ein eingeschlossenes Kind einen Hitzschlag bekommt.

Als hätte das jemals eine Firma davon abgehalten, jemanden rauszuwerfen. Mir wurde bei meinem letzten Arbeitgeber zwar nicht gekündigt, allerdings eine Gehaltsanpassung an das, was branchenüblich ist (und mir auch von einer anderen Firma zugesichert wurde) verwehrt, entsprechend bin ich gegangen. Ein Kollege ebenso. Seitdem läuft die Abteilung seit zwei Monaten im Panikmodus und ich bekomme immer noch verzweifelte Nachrichten, weil sie ihren Kram nicht auf die Reihe bekommen.

Anekdote, die ich von einem Kollegen gehört habe… eine junge Mutter fragte ganz verzweifelt, was sie machen soll, ihr Kind hätte eine herumliegende Packung Globuli leergegessen. Antwort des Arztes: „Ist nicht schlimm, aber heute besser keine Süßigkeiten mehr“
