Installing Linux on most hardware became really easy maybe 5 years ago.
Gnome works quite well on a larger touch-screen. Edit: ah, Ubuntu should have that by default.
There is a special .iso archive for all past releases.
I locked the community, so no new posts can be made, only comments.
Fine, you are of course technically correct 🙄
It is quite reductive to say anti-zionism is just denying the right of Israel to exist. Yes, the state of Israel is a deeply zionist project but you can accept the reality of this state existing and still be opposed to the idea of zionism in general.
I am opposed to the idea of colonialism in general but still accept the existence of states with a colonial history.
I specifically responded to your last sentence. If you are OK with for example Israel in the UN recognised borders of 1947, then you don’t deny the right of the state of Israel to exist, which is all that is being asked for.
Incidence does not mean “beating up” someone. Spray painting “stop the genocide in Gaza” is sometimes counted as an “antisemitic incidence” in Germany.
The question doesn’t ask if you support the current state of Israel though.
It is not even closely the same by any definition.
As anarchists refuse the legitimacy of the state in general, they will have no problem to just fake it 😎
Lol what?
These statistic say little as the German police does not properly distinguish between antisemitism and anti-zionism.
But regardless, if you are so extreme in your views that you can’t accept the existence of the state of Israel in some shape or form, you are probably not a good fit for German society.
It’s not that bad, but you need to at least skim most of the discussions as reports often fail to work due to federation issues or are only made after the comment section is a troll-party already.
Also be ready for some unpleasant DMs questioning your moderation decisions on really spurious grounds.
As long as there are other dedicated mods, sure 😊
I would much rather someone else takes over moderation, yes. Both because of various federated moderation bugs in Lemmy making it hard to moderate a community that isn’t on your home instance and because I have way to many communities that I moderate already.
If needed, I would be willing to help with moderation, but not be the main moderator of such a new community.
If someone wants to create an English speaking Europe community on feddit.org I would certainly not be against it. Ultimatly it is up to the subscribers to decide where to go.
I pinned this thread in the community, so people can promote their proposed alternatives here.
The community on lemmy.ml has the problem that there are some very persistent users that constantly post pro-Russian propaganda or similar mis-information to it, and the lemmy.ml admins refuse to appoint a new mod and seem to be generally fine with that. I certainly wouldn’t want to moderate a similar community where Hexbear and Lemmygrad users have full access to like they would on lemm.ee. if fact I wouldn’t even be able to as my home instance is defederated from these instances and thus such posts would be invisible to me.
They could easily switch to the current vice president and get some new relatively known person on board as her running mate.
This is exactly what would happen if Biden suddenly had a major health issue.
