I’m not entirely sure you’d want someone smoking around a large supply of oxygen, either.
To be serious, though, I’ve seen some places where they seal the entryway to a dedicated smoking room a bit better and vent the smoke outside. I feel like that would be safer/more practical than smoking booths.
The words of someone who has never tried Culver’s, clearly.

Not necessarily gaming related, but I remember their early coverage of every new Apple product as somehow more masturbatory than anything MacWorld put out. Then you’ve got their infamous complete mess of a PC build video and everything that followed that. I guess at least they aren’t written by AI yet?
Swarms of bugs make it a lot less enjoyable, at least for me. There’s nothing like seeing someone’s back entirely covered in mosquito bites just because it rained a couple days earlier. I’ve read it’s only expected to get worse with the progression of climate change, especially when it comes to invasive species.
I guess there’s DEET and permethrin, but I don’t feel great about having to use those.
He was also president of the Harvard Law Review, specifically their first Black president as well.
It’s possible I just haven’t come across those types of comments you’re making fun of, but I usually just see people making the case that we don’t need new, possibly overreaching, legislation to handle these situations. They want to avoid a disingenuous “think of the children” kind of situation.
a youth court in the city of Badajoz said it had convicted the minors of 20 counts of creating child abuse images and 20 counts of offences against their victims’ moral integrity
I’m not familiar with their legal system but I would be willing to bet the crimes they’ve committed were already illegal under existing laws.
It’s great! I’d put it up there with other weird children’s lit like The Stinky Cheese Man and Strega Nona.
IIRC DreamWorks originally tried adapting the book directly but it didn’t really work so they kept some concepts and redid the entire story. Early designs of movie Shrek looked a lot closer to book Shrek.
Even better, they’re actively preparing to vote for people determined to completely dismantle and privatize NOAA, per the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 guidelines. They won’t have to worry about the scary weather news anymore after they do that.
The fun thing is that people say “I graduated” or “I’m graduating” but it’s technically more correct to say “I am being graduated (by the university).” I might be mixing it up a bit, but the idea is that the university always has the final say over whether or not you get that important piece of paper at the end.
One of my teachers in high school taught us this, but I never actually thought I’d see it in action. It’s cruel.
I ran across software once that wouldn’t compile properly and the only documentation available was an archive.org hosted backup of an Intel help page that no longer exists. There is no alternative, Intel just removed it entirely.
Also surprisingly/unsurprisingly a ton of reform suddenly took place the moment the Mormons jumped ship and gave up leadership.
One of the Arrowhead community managers said they’re trying to get more information regarding regions, so it kinda seems like they weren’t fully prepared for this/got blindsided by Sony a bit. There should be an FAQ/QA with additional info coming soon.
The vast majority of Flint pipes have been replaced and they’ve been well below federal requirements for years now. Pretty much all that’s left are a ton of criminal and civil proceedings, roughly 3% of residential pipelines that require the approval of the owner to replace, and earning back the trust of the residents.
Wasn’t that almost what happened with Bryan Lunduke? AFAIK, dude took a hard turn to the right after years of decent Linux-related advocacy and then nuked his social media accounts and tried to claim the opposite. Not sure where he’s at now, but it was pretty strange.
The main story is basically Journey with friends and cosmetics. It expands a bit as you complete each area, easing you into more difficult/spookier content, but it never gets too complex.
There’s also a bunch of secret stuff to find and all of the older seasonal stuff that remains after they ended.
Spoilers for sure, but the wiki is helpful: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Sky:_Children_of_the_Light_Wiki
You can also hear the same stuff if you spend some time at any US subway station when the local hoteps are out and about with their loudspeakers. It’s not just her.
You can download the game for free in its original form here: https://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/
IIRC there used to be custom tilesets/graphics packs, not sure if they’re still maintained after the game launched on Steam.
This might not be completely true, but I was told by a former cop that technically anything obscuring the driver’s view through the windshield is something they can use against you. Hanging air fresheners, bobble heads, a mounted dash cam… it’s just one of those things that isn’t usually enforced.
