Yeah for sure there’s way more versatility in genshin impact than path of exile 2.

Levels are not the only expression of builds, there’s tons of ways to build a dnd class, it can vary tons on gear, character personality and feats. It’s just 20 levels though.
pathfinder also only goes up to 20 levels and it has so much customization possibilities i bet there are people who dont play it because there are too many options
and the more levels a game has, the less thought goes into each one, so more levels i think would mean less customizability more often than not
I don’t really play MMOs and in single player games it means a lot of grind and probably some mechanics made just to get as much money as possible, for example gacha games where you can get the same character multiple times and instead they give you xp when that happens.
That are exceptions but they are really rare in comparison.
Why? That usually means there is a lot more versatility in the builds.
